Provided services

LIANE users can used following central managed services:

• Access to internet (Ethernet, Wi-Fi)
• Central managed username and password used to access many services (access to computers in classrooms, library, e-learning systems etc.)
• E-mail account: firstname.surname@tul.cz
• Membership in Eduroam.

Infrastructure

The LIANE network uses an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling installed in all major buildings and dormitories of the university. Gigabit or Fast Ethernet technology is deployed to provide 1 Gbps or 100 Mbps transmission capacity for the connected devices. A wireless connectivity spreads more and more places in the university campus - it is described on a separate page.
